ListKart ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy.
We believe that your personal data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy is designed to be completely
transparent: We do not collect, store, share, or sell your personal data. ListKart
operates as an offline-first application, meaning your data stays strictly on your device.
1. Zero Data Collection Policy
- No Personal Information: We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or address. No account registration is required to use ListKart.
- No Server Storage: We do not own or operate any servers to store user data. All your shopping lists, preferences, and history are stored locally on your smartphone's internal memory.
- No Tracking: We do not track your location, browsing history, or usage patterns. We do not use any third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics or Firebase) to monitor your activity.
2. specific Permissions & Usage
We request only the minimum permissions necessary for the app to function:
- Camera Permission: This is used solely for the purpose of scanning barcodes to add items to your list. Scanning happens locally on your device. No images or video feeds are sent to us or any cloud server.
- Storage/Files Access: This is used to save your shopping lists and app settings locally on your device. We do not access other files or photos on your phone.
- Microphone Permission (Optional): If you use voice input, your device's built-in speech-to-text engine is used. Audio is not recorded or transmitted by ListKart.
3. Where Your Data Lives
- 100% Local: Every item you add, every list you create, and every setting you change is saved in a database file located inside your phone's storage.
- Uninstalling the App: Since we do not have a backup of your data, uninstalling ListKart will permanently delete all your lists and data. Please be aware of this, as we cannot restore lost data.
4. Third-Party Services & Ads
- Start-to-Finish Ad-Free: ListKart is completely ad-free. We do not display ads from ad networks (like AdMob or Facebook Audience Network), which means no ad-tracking code exists in our app.
- No External Links: Apart from our support email and link to our Play Store page, the app does not connect to third-party services.
5. Data Security
Because your data is never transmitted over the internet to our servers, it is naturally protected from remote server hacks or data breaches involving our systems. Your data security is tied to the physical security of your own device.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our app is safe for all ages. We do not collect any personal information from children or anyone else.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we decide to introduce features that require data collection (such as optional cloud backup) in the future, we will update this policy and explicitly ask for your consent. Until then, our "Zero Data Collection" policy stands firm.
